Tier 1 Visa:
The Tier 1 (General) category allows highly-skilled individuals to look for work or self-employment opportunities in the UK. You do not need a job offer if you are applying as a highly-skilled worker. When you apply, you are awarded points based on your qualifications, previous earnings, UK experience, age, English language skills and finances. This will allow you to live and work in the UK for an initial period of 2 years, after which you may apply for a visa extension.
